REFORMER STRENGTH

The benefits of strength training include increasing bone density, joint flexibility, increased muscle mass (not physical size), weight control, body shape change and balance. With these considerations adding strength focused classes to our timetable will allow you to specifically work towards becoming a stronger version of yourself.  

Pilates Reformer Strength

Feel Strong, Know Strong, Love Strength

Doing Reformer Pilates is a form of strength training and is often referred to as Resistance Training. However as most of you know Pilates is very different from gym based weight lifting. Strengthening or placing resistance on our body is what Pilates is all about. The Reformer Strength concept will give you the chance to target specific areas or plan your training week more effectively. Being strong, feeling strong, knowing strong and loving your strength are powerful statements you will physically and mentally work towards in these classes. It will give you the chance to place more load on your system in certain exercises for greater adaptation without the ‘gym’ style weights, allowing a greater pilates inspired muscle recruitment and response.

Reformer Strength Concept

If you want to feel stronger, improve a weakness, limitation or just be able to schedule your week better with other training, sports, and hobbies then our series of Reformer Strength classes will be perfect for you. This is an all-level class catering to first timers through to the more experienced.

Reformer Strength classes will superset traditional and function reformer movements with various props on and off the reformer in either an Upper body, Lower body or Total body focus. It is not a high intensity heart rate class BUT certainly one we hope to overload the desired muscles and areas for noticeable burn and feeling of strength on completion.
