From September 2026, eligible sessions may be claimable through participating health funds, depending on your level of cover.

Whether you're already part of our community or considering starting your Pilates journey, Health Fund Rebates can make it even easier to prioritise your health, movement, and wellbeing.

At Pilates&Co., our Clinical Pilates services are designed to support injury management, rehabilitation, strength, mobility, and long-term movement health.

WHO CAN CLAIM & WHAT YOU NEED..

To qualify for Pilates rebates, you must check with your insurer to see if Pilates sessions are covered under your policy. Rebate eligibility is not automatic and will depend on several factors. Most insurers may require that the Pilates teacher be Diploma-qualified and meet specific teaching criteria.

According to the latest update from the Pilates Association, you may also need a referral from a GP or allied health practitioner to ensure that the session is considered therapeutic. It’s important that clients confirm their insurer’s specific requirements before booking Pilates sessions

CLASSES, TEACHERS & STUDIOS THAT ARE ELIGABLE

All Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast studios will offer eligible classes that may qualify for Health Fund Rebates. Please note that rebates are not available with all instructors. However, we have a large team of Diploma-qualified and clinically trained teachers who meet the requirements for eligible rebate claims.

CLASSES ON SCHEDULE THAT OFFER POTENTIAL REBATES:

- Private Clinical Sessions 1:1
- Duo Private Clinical Sessions 1:2
- Small Group Clinical Pilates 1:3
- Seniors Clinical Pilates 1:8
- Group Circuit Clinical Pilates 1:8

Please note, Coolum (Sunshine Coast) does not offer Small Group Pilates or Group Circuit Pilates.

- Clinically trained teachers
- Diploma Qualified teachers
- Physiotherapists & Exercises physiologists

*You may be also able to claim additional funds for our Physios and EP’s, if it falls under a different criteria with your health fund. Please check with your health fund.

HOW CLAIMING WORKS

  • Check you are covered with your health fund for therapeutic Pilates and how much you can claim

  • Obtain a referral from your GP or Allied Health Professional

  • Email us your referral for review & for the admin team to update your file with notes.

  • Book your classes in using any pack or membership (see above for class types & teachers that are eligible)

  • Once you have completed all your sessions that add up to your total rebatable amount - you will email our team to receive your invoice.

  • Submit your invoice to your health fund for your total rebate.

*Please note, you will not be able to claim session by session, you will only be able to request an invoice from Pilates&Co. admin once you have completed all your sessions that add up to your rebatable amount.

FAQ

  • As the framework for Pilates rebates is put in place, it’s important to note that some health funds may begin offering Pilates rebates before others. The Private Health Government website provides general information on health insurance policies, which will help clients understand the rollout process. Each health fund must update its systems and finalise the rules before rebates can be offered.

  • Yes, you will need a referral from GP or allied health professional to claim your rebates.

  • You will only be able to claim your rebates from our techers who are clinically/diploma qualified. Please see our teacher page GC teacher page SC for more information on who is elgiable.
